Our founder spent years working at the China Astronaut Research and Training Center, where he witnessed TCM being integrated into astronaut health systems—from pre-flight conditioning, to in-orbit protection, to post-landing recovery.

I spent 11 years at the China Astronaut Research and Training Center. One team there was dedicated to integrating TCM into astronaut health protocols. They developed herbal formulas to protect cardiovascular function, prevent muscle atrophy, and maintain physical balance in microgravity. They put the concept of "treating before illness arises" into real practice—across China's Shenzhou crewed space missions.

I understood the principles. I saw the results with my own eyes. But I never thought to use any of it on myself.

Years later, I left the space industry and started my own business. One night at 3 a.m., I woke up to intense, irregular heartbeats and a sharp pain in my chest. That was when I finally started practicing the TCM theories and techniques I had known for years.

As I slowly recovered, I started noticing the people around me.

In our OA system, almost every month, there were women requesting sick leave for period pain.

Helen was one of them. I remember once in a meeting, she suddenly went quiet, face pale, clearly struggling. The pain had hit her right there.

Then I heard Wendy's story. Every month, for about 24 hours straight, she would vomit nonstop. Stomach cramps so severe she'd break into cold sweats. Sometimes she had to go to the ER—IV drip, anti-nausea shots, oxygen.

They had all seen doctors. The answers were almost always the same: "Your tests are normal. This is just part of being a woman. It might get better after you have kids."

I kept thinking: if TCM had already been proven effective through astronaut health programs—prevention, treatment, recovery—why couldn't it help more people who truly need it?

That's why I started Evoela.

We see ourselves as a bridge—translating ancient wisdom for modern needs. Making sure every formula is grounded in validated TCM theory, actually effective for real health concerns, and true to why Evoela exists: root-level balance, not surface-level relief.

Evoela's first formula came from a simple intention: to do something for Helen and Wendy.

It's an essential oil blend rooted in TCM principles—not designed to suppress your body, but to work with it. This isn't some mystical, hard-to-grasp version of Chinese medicine. We just ask one question: where's the imbalance? What's the root cause? Then we let the formula work with the body.

In the early days, launch dates kept getting pushed back—either because we weren't satisfied with the herb quality from our suppliers, or because the ratio of each herb in the formula wasn't quite right. After rounds of anxious yet patient sourcing, discussion, and experimentation, we finally arrived at a formula we were quite satisfied with.

We came to realize that Evoela isn't just about one product or one problem. It's about a philosophy—offering root-level balance to everyone who needs it. The method stays the same: find the imbalance, get to the root, work with the body.
