Product Usage FAQs

EVOELA's formula is designed to help modern people cope with common health concerns caused by stress, fatigue, and lifestyle imbalances. If you feel low on energy, experience low mood, have poor sleep quality, or wish to improve your body's overall balanced state, our products may be exactly what you need. "Day Formula" focuses on enhancing daytime vitality, while "Night Formula" promotes nighttime relaxation and recovery. We recommend using the Day Formula and Night Formula together.

Absolutely, everything we make is unisex — there's no "his" or "hers" here. The core principle of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) theory is to regulate the body's overall balance, which applies to everyone. Whether it's men feeling a lack of energy or women experiencing cyclical discomfort, improvement can be achieved by restoring the body's balanced state.

A quick heads-up — there are a few situations where it's best to hold off, or at least check with your doctor first:

Pregnant or breastfeeding women
Those taking blood thinners or anticoagulant medications
Those allergic to specific plant ingredients

When in doubt, a quick chat with your doctor is always the safest call.

Real Chinese herbs for wellness.
Expect notes of pine, bark, and herbal bitterness — distinctive and unfamiliar, not floral or fruity.

Safety and Side Effects FAQs

These ingredients have been used within the TCM system for thousands of years, and are increasingly finding their place in the Western wellness space — appearing in health supplements, herbal skincare, and beyond. The unfamiliarity largely stems from their names. TCM herbs are named differently from the aromatherapy ingredients most people are used to, which can make them seem unusual at first — but that doesn't mean they are obscure or niche.

As global research into Chinese herbal medicine continues to grow, these ingredients are increasingly entering the public's awareness. The ingredients EVOELA uses are clinically studied and supported by clear safety, security, and efficacy data.

We only source classic herbs with thousands of years of documented use, held to high-quality standards. As our formulas are derived from pure botanical extracts, adverse reactions are extremely rare. First-time users may experience an adjustment period while the body adapts — this is a normal part of the rebalancing process.

To be on the safe side, we'd recommend holding off on any herbal product during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless your doctor specifically gives you the green light. Even though our ingredients come from natural sources, there just isn't enough clinical research out there yet for this particular group — and when it comes to you and your baby, we'd rather err on the side of caution.

If you're currently on any prescription medication, please have a quick chat with your doctor before adding EVOELA products to your routine. It's the best way to make sure nothing you're taking clashes with our ingredients — and it gives you real peace of mind going in.

EVOELA's efficacy is built on three layers of assurance:

Theoretical validation — Our formulas are rooted in TCM theory with thousands of years of documented practice behind them. Every ingredient has been repeatedly examined and conveyed through generations of TCM practitioners.

Scientific formulation — We follow the principle of 君臣佐使 (Jun Chen Zuo Shi), with formulas developed by a team of TCM experts to ensure clinically studied botanicals work synergistically — treating the root cause, not simply stacking individual ingredients.

Witnessed in practice — Our founder participated in and directly witnessed the rigorous application and remarkable results of TCM within China's astronaut health support system. We bring that same standard and conviction to every EVOELA product.

EVOELA essential oils are crafted from high-quality, organically grown TCM botanicals — the kind that have been clinically studied, stay 100% plant-based, and go through rigorous blending and testing every step of the way. Most people experience zero adverse reactions. But we'll be upfront — a small number of first-time users do notice a mild warming sensation or a touch of redness on the skin. Don't worry — this is a normal response to the essential oil activating local circulation, and typically subsides on its own. If anything feels off or lingers longer than it should, stop using it and check in with a healthcare professional.

There are no known interactions occurring at this time. However, if you are currently taking prescription medications — particularly blood thinners, blood pressure medications, or anti-epileptic drugs — we recommend that you consult your doctor before use.

This is a normal part of the rebalancing process. As the essential oil works on the primary area of concern — promoting recovery and restoring flow — connected areas (such as the opposite side or regions linked through meridian pathways) may also be influenced, resulting in a temporary shift in where discomfort is felt.

This "migration" is actually a signal that the body is recalibrating. Secondary issues that were previously masked by the primary concern begin to surface. In most cases, this migratory discomfort resolves on its own within a few days — an indication that the connected areas are also gradually returning to balance.

This is a normal physical response — there is no need to worry.

Due to extended sitting, chronic stress, and irregular routines, many people experience suboptimal blood circulation to the head. When the essential oil begins to take effect and promotes the movement of qi and blood, that upward flow toward the head can trigger a momentary feeling of fogginess or pressure during the restoration process — this is a signal that the body is actively clearing and recalibrating.

The good news is that this feeling tends to ease as you use the oil and eventually fades on its own. If it hangs around longer than feels right or gets uncomfortable, just use a smaller amount next time. There's no need to rush — letting your body adjust at its own pace often works best.

No worries at all! EVOELA's essential oils are pet-friendly.

1. Is it safe for pets to come into contact with the essential oils?

After the oils are applied to a person's skin, pets can safely sniff, touch, and even lick the area — no safety concerns at all. If the oil accidentally drips onto the floor, pets will typically give it a sniff and simply walk away, which is just their highly sensitive sense of smell doing its job.

2. Can pets benefit from the essential oils too?

Yes! After a person applies the oils, pets can indirectly absorb the essence through daily inhalation, which can contribute to improvements in their overall constitution and health.

Our product consultant, Dr. Lee, is a pet owner herself. She has been applying the essential oils on her hands and wrists before petting her dogs, and the dogs would even lick her hands — a routine that has been going on for several months with no issues. Notably, one of her dogs had suffered developmental delays and impaired mobility due to enteritis as a puppy. After months of regular exposure to the oils through scent, its bones and muscles have strengthened significantly — a 1.5-meter wall that it once had to go around or simply back away from, it can now clear with ease.(Individual results may vary. Not intended for direct animal use.")

3. Does EVOELA have a dedicated pet product line?

EVOELA's product development team is currently in the process of planning and researching a dedicated pet product line, with the goal of allowing our unique herbal essential oils to be used directly on pets for more direct and noticeable health benefits. Stay tuned!

Usage & Dosage FAQs

There are two ways to use EVOELA:

1. Topical Roll-On Application
EVOELA essential oils feature a roll-on design for exactness. Simply roll along seven key areas of the body in sequence, allowing the active herbal compounds to penetrate the skin and reach their corresponding meridians and organs more effectively.

Seven application points (in order):

Wrists — Roll around the wrist bone in a full circle (left + right)
Elbows — Roll around the inner elbow crease in a full circle (left + right)
Ankles — Roll around the ankle bone in a full circle (left + right)
Knees — Roll around the kneecap in a full circle (left + right)
Navel — Roll in a circle around the belly button
Dazhui Acupoint — Roll vertically along the prominent vertebra at the base of the neck (the bony bump you feel when you tilt your head forward)
Guanyuan Acupoint — Roll horizontally approximately three finger-widths below the navel, along the lower abdomen
Menstrual cycle tip: In the days before and during your period, extend the application in step 7 to cover the groin, lower abdomen, and pubic area for wider relief.

After applying, gently massage with your fingertips to encourage full absorption.

2. Aromatherapy Diffusion
Add a few drops into your diffuser or aroma diffuser, and allow the aromatic molecules to enter the body through inhalation.

It really comes down to what your body and mind need in the moment.

Day Formula - Best used in the morning, early afternoon, or any time you need a mental lift, sharper focus, or a boost of energy.

Night Formula - Best used before bed, during meditation, or whenever you need to deeply unwind and ease your mind.

Absolutely. When pain occurs, apply directly to the affected area for immediate relief. For everyday wellness, add a few drops to your diffuser and let the herbal aroma gently work in the background. When you need it, it soothes. When you don't, it nourishes. There are no rules — whenever you feel like grabbing for it, it's the right time.

For topical application: Use a Z-stroke rolling motion across the seven key body points, applying 3–4 layers per session (2–3 drops per layer (dropper); adjust accordingly for the roll-on). Feel free to adjust as needed.

For diffusing: Start with 3–5 drops per session. From there, tweak the amount based on how big your space is and what your diffuser can handle. Trust your senses — if it smells just right, you've got it.

Consistency is everything. Integrate EVOELA into your daily routine — for example, starting your morning with the Day Formula and winding down at night with the Night Formula as a relaxation ritual. Regular use allows your body to adapt and fully benefit from the ongoing herbal support.

Our products are designed to work in harmony with a healthy lifestyle. Pairing regular use with a balanced diet, physical movement, and adequate hydration will help you experience stronger, more sustained results.

Short-term use after expiration is generally not harmful, but the potency and stability of the active herbal compounds naturally decline over time. For optimal results, we recommend using the product within its stated shelf life.

The most common reason is insufficient dosage. Herbal essential oils require an adequate amount to build a cumulative effect in the body — too little means too little absorption, and results will naturally be slower to appear. Please ensure you apply the full recommended amount each session and use it consistently, without interruption. If you have been using the full dosage daily for more than 4 weeks with minimal improvement, feel free to reach out — we will provide personalized guidance based on your situation.

Results Timeline & What to Expect FAQs

Many users notice an immediate shift in mood and mental state from their very first use — feeling more relaxed, more focused, or simply lighter. Deeper, body-level rebalancing, however, takes longer to develop.

Herbal support isn't a quick fix — it's a slow, steady build. The good stuff adds up over time, which is why we'd really encourage giving it at least 2 months of consistent use before judging the results. Here's roughly what most people notice along the way:

Week 1 — Waking up feels easier. Energy through the day is steadier and more even.

Week 2 — Tension in the neck and shoulders starts to melt, and that all-over body tightness softens.

Week 4 — Period cramps feel less sharp, and mood swings even out.

Month 2 and beyond — Skin glows a little more, sleep gets deeper, and a real sense of balance starts to take hold.

That said, everybody is different. Your constitution, lifestyle, and starting point all shape your personal timeline — so trust the process and tune in to your own rhythm.

Yes. Unlike pharmaceuticals, herbal medicine works through gentle, sustained rebalancing — not forceful intervention. Regular use is what allows the herbal energy to accumulate in the body and gradually guide it back to equilibrium. Occasional use will significantly limit the results.

We recommend at least two months of continuous use to fully experience the effects of herbal rebalancing. Many users choose to continue even after reaching their goals — to preserve that equilibrium, or to deepen the results further.

The reasoning behind it is pretty simple, really. Modern life places a continuous demand on the body. Stress, inactive lifestyles, poor sleep, and emotional strain all steadily deplete our qi and energy reserves. If the depletion is ongoing, so should the replenishment.

This is at the heart of TCM philosophy — 治未病 (zhì wèi bìng), or "healing before illness arises." Rather than waiting for the body to break down, the aim is to maintain it at its best via consistent, everyday care.

TCM Explained FAQs

Traditional Chinese Medicine, or TCM, is a whole system of healing with thousands of years of wisdom behind it. But here's what really makes it special — TCM isn't about silencing symptoms. It's about asking why they showed up in the first place, then working to restore the body's natural balance from the root up.

At its core, TCM sees the human body as a whole, interconnected system — one that's constantly in conversation with the world around it. The goal isn't just to "fix" what's broken, but to strengthen the body's own ability to heal itself, so that real, lasting health can take hold from the inside out.

Chinese herbs are natural botanicals with therapeutic properties — including roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits, bark, and branches — and form the core of the TCM system. For thousands of years, herbs have been used to regulate the body and mind, restoring balance and harmony. Chinese herbs are typically used in compound formulas, which sets them apart from the single-ingredient approach common in traditional aromatherapy.

One thing that really sets TCM apart: it almost never relies on a single herb working alone. Instead, multiple herbs are thoughtfully combined into what's called a compound formula — where every ingredient has its own specific role to play, and together they create something far more powerful than any of them could on their own. Here's how it plays out: some herbs go after the root cause of the imbalance. Others amplify that main action, helping it work more powerfully. And others are there to keep the whole formula in harmony — softening any harshness and making sure everything sits well with the body. That kind of synergy has been fine-tuned over thousands of years, and it's something a single-ingredient product simply can't recreate.

Here's the real secret behind the synergistic power of TCM compound formulas — a principle that's been refined for thousands of years. Every traditional formula is structured around four distinct roles, almost like a well-run royal court:

君 (Jun) — the "Emperor" herb: the leader of the formula, going straight to the heart of the issue.
臣 (Chen) — the "Minister" herb: the loyal supporter, reinforcing and amplifying the Emperor's effect.
佐 (Zuo) — the "Assistant" herb: the harmonizer, balancing the formula and softening any rough edges.
使 (Shi) — the "Envoy" herb: the guide, directing the formula exactly where it's needed in the body.

When these four roles come together, every herb gets to perform at its absolute best — and the results aren't just added together, they're exponentially greater. Every EVOELA formula is built strictly upon this principle to ensure maximum synergistic effect.

Traditional Herbal Decoction is taken orally, absorbed through the digestive system, and works systemically from within — making it well-suited for deep, internal rebalancing. EVOELA essential oils, by contrast, are absorbed through the skin or the respiratory tract, acting locally or influencing mood through the olfactory system — making them more convenient and well-suited for topical care and everyday aromatherapy.

Everybody's different, and that matters when it comes to how you take in herbs. If you've got a sensitive digestive system, traditional oral decoctions can sometimes feel like a lot for your gut to handle — in that case, topical essential oils are a much gentler way to get the benefits, since they work through the skin rather than the stomach.

On the flip side, if you're someone who's particularly sensitive to strong herbal scents, essential oils might not be the best match for you — and a decoction or another form of preparation could be a better fit. The goal is always to work with your body, not against it.

Both approaches have their own strengths. It is not a question of which is better — only which is better for you.

道地药材 (dao di yao cai) refers to medicinal herbs grown in specific regions under particular climate and soil conditions that produce the finest quality and most potent therapeutic effect. Think of Bulgarian roses — the origin itself is a guarantee of quality.

Chinese Medicine has always held that the same herb, grown in different regions, can vary dramatically in potency. That's why EVOELA follows 道地药材 standards without compromise. Controlling quality at the source to ensure every bottle delivers the rebalancing effect it is designed to provide.

Conventional aromatherapy brands rely on single-ingredient botanicals — one plant, one benefit, such as lavender for sleep. TCM has never approached wellness this way. In Chinese herbal medicine, the compound formula is the fundamental unit. Multiple herbs are combined in precise proportions, each playing a defined role, with the collective effect far surpassing anything a single ingredient can achieve alone. This is the underlying logic of every EVOELA formula — not ingredient stacking, but true synergistic amplification.

About Brand FAQs

Our founder spent 11 years at the China Astronaut Research and Training Center, where he participated in and witnessed the integration of TCM and Chinese herbal medicine into astronaut health management — spanning pre-flight conditioning, in-orbit protection, and post-mission recovery. A personal health journey later led him to TCM practice himself, and he began noticing how many of the women around him were suffering from severe menstrual pain with nowhere to turn. EVOELA was born from that moment. We believe that if TCM can safeguard astronauts' health, it can help everyday people find their balance, too.

Most essential oil brands focus on a single scent or a simple benefit. EVOELA is different. We combine 5,000 years of TCM wisdom with modern scientific validation — the herbal ingredients are clinically studied, and every formula is precisely composed according to the 君臣佐使 (Jun Chen Zuo Shi) principle, ensuring each ingredient plays a defined role and works in synergy with the others.

Our focus is on addressing the root cause — not masking surface symptoms with temporary relief.

We also maintain strict standards for ingredient purity. All raw materials are tested to be free of heavy metals and pesticide residues, so you can use EVOELA with confidence, day after day.
