Why did EVOELA design the packaging to reduce environmental impact?
Over 400 million tons of plastic are produced globally each year. Much of it remains in landfills, oceans, and soil for centuries.
The Earth Can No Longer Digest Our Convenience.
For decades, our addiction to single-use convenience has buried the planet under plastic it cannot break down. "Recyclable" was sold to us as the answer — but only 9% of plastic is ever actually recycled. The rest lingers for centuries, broken down into the food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe. EVOELA is a small brand. We know we can't fix this alone — but we can choose not to make it worse.
Materials Catalogue
Bamboo Essential Oil Vessel
Crafted with a renewable bamboo exterior and a glass interior.
Designed for durability and refill use, extending the life of the vessel beyond a single cycle.
Paper Tube Packaging
Constructed from paper-based materials selected for recyclability.
Lightweight, protective, and compatible with existing paper recycling streams.
Glassine Bag
Accessories are packaged in a glassine paper bag to keep small components protected and organized.
Made from plant-based pulp, glassine is smooth, semi‑transparent, and free from plasticizers. It is biodegradable and recyclable within paper streams where facilities exist.
Kraft Paper Bag
Packed in a kraft paper mailer with a protective cushioning insert.
Designed to reduce breakage and minimize product loss during transit.
Certified Compostable Protective Bag
To provide moisture protection during transit, each shipment is enclosed in a compostable outer protective bag. The material is certified for home composting under AS 5810 (Australasian Bioplastics Association) and OK compost HOME® (TÜV Austria), and holds industrial compostability certification from TÜV Rheinland (DIN CERTCO).
Under certified home composting conditions, the material is designed to biodegrade within approximately 180 days. By contrast, conventional plastics can persist for decades or even centuries, often fragmenting into microplastics rather than fully returning to nature.
Fully Packed & Ready for Shipment
Each package is assembled with consideration for material efficiency, and transit impact.
By combining renewable materials, refillable structures, recyclable paper components, and certified compostable protection, we aim to reduce environmental burden while ensuring product safety from our hands to yours.
We do not claim perfection — only progress through thoughtful design.
